Outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID-19)
In the wake of the outbreak of the novel coronavirus disease, which has become an international public health concern, the Belgian government has announced various measures to contain the spread of the disease, which include the following:
- Maintaining a distance of at least 1 m from other individuals and avoid crowded places;
- Avoid close contact, hugging or shaking hands with other individuals;
- Washing your hands often with soap and water, especially after going to the bathroom, before eating, and after blowing your nose, coughing or sneezing;
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth;
- Temporary ban on indoor events and small meetings; and
- Seek medical care urgently if you experience a fever, cough, difficulty breathing, or any other symptoms suggestive of respiratory illness.
