The Embassy of Ghana in Brussels hosted members of the Ghanaian community and friends of Ghana for the viewing of the Black Stars' final group-stage match against Croatia at the ongoing 2026 FIFA World Cup on Saturday, 27 June 2026.
The event marked the culmination of the Embassy's special watch parties organised for Ghana's group-stage matches. In his remarks, the Deputy Head of Mission, Dr. Innocent Badasu, noted that since the commencement of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the Embassy had established itself as a preferred destination for Ghanaians and friends of Ghana to gather and support the Black Stars.
Dr. Badasu further indicated that Ghana's qualification to the Round of 32 places an even greater responsibility on the Embassy to continue providing a platform for the Ghanaian community to come together and rally behind the national team throughout the remainder of the tournament.
He also expressed appreciation to members of the Ghanaian community for sponsoring the watch party for the Ghana–Croatia match and for their unwavering support towards the success of the initiative.
Following his remarks, guests enjoyed an evening of networking, music, food and refreshments while cheering on the Black Stars.
The Ghana–Croatia watch party brought to a close the Embassy's group-stage viewing events. The Embassy extends its sincere appreciation to its staff, members of the diplomatic corps, sponsors and all invited guests whose support and participation contributed to making the events a resounding success.
