FAREWELL SERVICE IN HONOUR OF REVEREND FRANK A. AMISHADDAI, THE CHURCH OF PENTECOST - GHENT
Her Excellency Mrs. Sena Siaw-Boateng, Ambassador of Ghana to Belgium, on Sunday, 8th November, 2020 participated as a special guest at a farewell service in honour of Reverend F.A. Amishaddai, of the Church of Pentecost, Gent.

Amb. Siaw-Boateng thanked the leadership of the Church in Ghent for the invitation extended to the Embassy. She further indicated that Rev. Amishaddai’s passion for God’s work, his humility in service and his sterling leadership qualities had helped draw many people to God and to the Church. She added that, beyond the Church, Rev. Amishaddai had also been instrumental in galvanizing the Ghanaian Community in Ghent and Belgium at large, towards common causes.

The Ambassador further updated Ghanaians and well-wishers of Ghana on the events leading to the upcoming general elections in Ghana, on 7th December, 2020. She gave the assurance that Ghana was not only looking forward to, once again, demonstrate to the world her commitment to the values of democracy and constitutional rule, but also to further consolidate her position as the beacon of hope and democracy in Africa by holding a peaceful, free, fair and transparent election.

She thus implored Ghanaians living abroad to contribute to peace, by not only desisting from any actions that would derail the electoral process, but also to become Ambassadors of Peace in their interactions with their compatriots.

H.E. Mrs. Sena Siaw-Boateng also used the opportunity to inform the congregation of the Embassy’s relocation to its new Chancery building at No. 391 Avenue de Tervueren, 1150 Woluwe Saint-Pierre on 19th October, 2020. She observed that the relocation was meant to provide a congenial atmosphere for the Embassy to effectively carry out its diplomatic functions, and that although the Chancery had relocated to its new premises, the Consular Section would continue to operate from its current location until further notice. She therefore entreated the congregation to inform their compatriots about the new arrangements.
